You and Dixie are such a great team and I LOVE reading about your adventures:) It probably seems weird, but every struggle that you write about makes me want to do endurance more. Never thought to get off and run to straighten it out.

I've taken an idea from you and started snacking on hard boiled eggs during rides. Works great!

I, too, have noticed that the bare horses (Ozzy in particular) seem to really know how to navigate tricky rocky trails like the one you talked about. Riding in Fair Hill this weekend refreshed that in my mind, and it's something I plan to blog about soon.

Between the fall, the rocks, and the weather, this sounds like a ride that's beyond tough. Third, I tried to follow along on that second FUCKING loop and finally figured out where you were and where the trailer picked you up. There, I thought Aura & I were almost home and we weren't. The trail went on and on forever and I let my crew talk me out of putting the glow sticked breast plate on my horse at the 1 hr hold because I was going to be back before dark (9:30 is when I came in). Fourth, the food was good, but glitter hat woman was MEAN!! Fifth, you and Dixie are awesome and good job with all that you did to take care of your horse and Sixth, do not beat yourself up about the girl who lost her horse & the helmet light.
