When I was 14, I was asked what I would want as my epitaph. The best I could come up with, after a few minutes of serious thought, was "It seemed like a good idea at the time." Twenty years later, that's still the best I can explain about why I do anything.
I saw that too, and thought of you! I can't "see" the false sole until the cracks really start showing. Then the chunks come out, and I just wait. I don't do my own trimming yet, and I think I'm going to cut my thumb off with the knife. So I sometimes just run him around the sand arena for awhile, it helps abrade it off.
I saw that and found it interesting. I also somehow managed to keep myself from commenting that the word is skeletal...
