  1. Brilliant!
Sad to see the Reality Dysfunction series by Peter F Hamilton is missing though.
Now there's a big, fat, juicy series!

  2. Cool!

I have one to add - just read it and it's outstanding:

Embassytown, by China Mievielle - check it out

  3. Wow! Funder, that is truly impressive! (and I love the path that ends with "Tough!" in response to the question about time travel! LOL )

  4. Jean - Eeeek! I totally didn't make a flowchart that cool, I just found it and reposted it. It might inspire me to try some of the books I haven't read, though.

Martine - I do love the voidships, but I haven't finished the RD series yet. I read the first two books when they were new, but I haven't gone back to finish it yet. So many characters, and so depressing... My husband says it's worthwhile though.

Kate - I will try it. I loved UnLunDun, but I haven't been able to get into another Mieville. Haven't tried Embassytown though.

  5. Thank you, I've gotten so many book suggestions lately from reading your blog (I've only read 3/4 of the books NPR mentions- I have to get going).

Good for them mentioning World War Z, that book was awesome.

  7. Whoa. NPR hires some seriously....detail oriented...people. That's both scholarly and architecturally awesome.

    Thanks for posting it!
