Aarene recently posted about her dutiful efforts to cross-train Fiddle via dressage. It's an admirable pursuit, but there's just not enough cantering and too much faffing around in the arena. I think I shall take up horse boarding instead. You gotta click over and see the video at the link!

Cool. However, I can't think of a single sane person who would voluntarily be dragged directly behind Fiddle's rear cannons...!
ReplyDeleteHorse boarding is taking off in a big way over here!
ReplyDeleteYou'll love this one then. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5SORYzaBLTI
ReplyDeleteA little more extreme. Brave woman btw... I would end up with a very fast paced side passing/bolting pony.
and then try the ski joring!

I have just figured out how to get my better half involved in horses! Sad thing is, I bet he'd REALLY be into the jumping version Caitlin posted.
ReplyDeleteI better get a big life insurance policy on him first I think.
Way FUN! The horses look like they love it! "Ditch the tag-a-long"!
ReplyDeleteThat is curious. I live in the UK but had never heard of this even though the competition seems quite local. I wonder whether they do jumps as well? On some of the trails around here one could tow a skateboarder for miles, at least in summer when the ground is hard.
ReplyDeleteI have been towed across an airfield sitting on an old tyre tied to a car with a hundred feet of rope. We reached 55mph which, on reflection, was a bit silly.
OMG! That was fun!
ReplyDeletePlease do not let my 10 yr olds see that video! They'd totally do it and one of them would break an arm or something! Worse, I'm afraid they'll come up with it on their own!
