When I was 14, I was asked what I would want as my epitaph. The best I could come up with, after a few minutes of serious thought, was "It seemed like a good idea at the time." Twenty years later, that's still the best I can explain about why I do anything.
The very first thing my cat does when he escapes outside is rolls in the dirt. As much as possible. He is so easy to catch (indoor kitty only, we live next to a super duper busy road) because he just stops, drops and rolls instead of running!
My husband's cat will roll like that on the carpet, hook the carpet with a claw and drag herself around, rolling and acting insane. The 'shop cat'...that stray that jumped in MH's car and refused to get out will only go outside the shop just long enough to roll in the dirt, get filthy and then disappears back into his shop. He is taking NO CHANCES that door gets closed with him on the outside. LOL
Oh my, can not imagine how filthy he gets!
ReplyDeleteHe's adorable! I don't think he's strange at all - he's a cat!
ReplyDeleteTypical Cat!......Then they come in the house and roll!

ReplyDeleteAll that sand! All that hair! All that sand in all that hair!!!
ReplyDeleteI think the silly gene is connected to the long hair gene. Long hair cats are so silly--there's got to be a connection.
ReplyDeleteIt's his tail. It speaks to him... I'm sure of it. ;)
ReplyDeleteLMAO at everyone else's comments.

Cersei photo bomb!
ReplyDeleteSince I'm allergic to cats, can have my cat fix here :-)
ReplyDeleteDefinitely cat behavior. Bandors is a hoot.
ReplyDeleteHe's been watching the horses....
ReplyDelete;)
He would fit in here with my um, 5! I had to stop and count there for a minute!
ReplyDeleteIt's not just a long haired cat trait as my short haired cats do it too. Then they feel gross when I unsuspectingly pet them.
OMG I pushed the wrong button and deleted lytha's comment. Here it is again:
ReplyDeletewhy do cats roll in dirt?
just wanted to let you know that i lost my ground on the electric fence yesterday due to the "drought" we are having. that has never happened before.
someone needs to blow up a dam somewhere or else we'll lose our trout.
