A nonevent

The vet came for spring shots today and... it went perfectly smoothly. I don't even mean "smoothly for me and Dixie," I mean "perfectly smoothly." He had a great affect, very calm and unrushed and gentle, and Dixie didn't do anything wrong. She was fine for the exam, the shots, and the blood draw. I was so very pleased!

The goats were less perfect, but the haybag of goat crack alfalfa convinced them to cooperate.

I'm really amused that so many of us are closet Glee fans!

Also, this is post #600. That seems like a lot of blogging. Go me? ;)

edit

To round out the weird themeless post, I give you a short video of The Crazy One love/hating his tail. I meant to put this up over the weekend but I forgot :)

The tail must die from Funder on Vimeo.

  1. Spike love/hates his tail like this too, but it is not nearly such an impressive tail.

  2. PanKake seems to think her tail is easier to catch if she wraps it around a table or chair leg... That IS one impression feline fur flag!

And, 600 posts! That's impressive, as well. Congrats!

  4. My dog chases her tail all the freaking time, and she's almost 2! The cats take great pride sneering down their noses at her, watching completely unimpressed as my 70lb dog chases her tail until she's so dizzy she falls down.

    Congrats on 600 posts!!!

  5. My first thought was, 'Dang, she's got a skunk in her house???'. The black body and white side threw me for a minute - and then I realized it was a cat. My second thought was that the tail needs a name all of its own. Clearly, it's a sentient being separate from the cat. You must name eeet!

  6. My God... I love that cat! I live for posts where he makes an appearance. When a video appears I absolutely swoon. I love your cat! And I have no idea why.

  9. Thanks, yall :)

Jen, I suspect the tail is the only sentient part of Banders.

Heather, I'm so glad to hear that you also love Banders! My parents hate him, and G hates him, but I am his staunch defender. His brain doesn't work right but he's so pretty. I will try to take more pics of Crazy Buddy for you!
