One more Christmas story and I'll move on

I love reading about Detroit. Not the suburbs, which appear to be (dys)functioning as well as any other suburbs, but the actual City of Detroit. It's in such bad shape, according to all the metrics, but there are still decent people there. Crooks and thieves, and no jobs, but there are still normal people living their normal lives. And some exceptional people, like Santa.

  1. This is very cool! We could use a few more like him that's for sure.

I don't know about you but I'm going to be a bit sad to move on from Christmas this year.

  4. BEC - Yep :)

Melissa - that's cause you wouldn't be driving in Detroit in December. You'd be staring out your hotel window, waiting for the snow to melt, like a good Southerner! ;)

  5. As a native Detroit girl I am glad to see that maybe it's not a completely utterly horrible disaster all the time in Detroit. But I was there for Thanksgiving, and man.... it is sad.
