Better post while I can

The dreaded Blogger Flu has finally caught up to me. I can't log in to anything blogger related from Chrome, but apparently I can from Safari - for now.

Today I rode my horse :) I'm not supposed to ride til this weekend, but you know I don't listen good. I just slipped on her bareback and we walked four houses down the street, then back - less than 5 minutes riding. It was lovely.

I'm actually really enjoying rehabbing Dixie. We seem to spend a lot of time hanging out together. She really likes the new patio chairs - she likes to watch me when I sit out there in the mornings and afternoons.

My kitten is a killing machine. She brought me a whole nest of baby voles, one at a time - five in 24 hours. That was a lot of effort and required a day of sleeping, but today she rejoined the hunt and brought me an adult vole. Atta girl. Just... make sure they're dead, ok? I don't like the ones that still squeak.

Anybody like True Blood? New season premiere did not disappoint.

I did a bunch of stuff around the house - cleaned and de-cluttered, hauled trash to the dump, worked in the yard, and got most of my tools organized in the garage. Now I can pack tomorrow and go camping this weekend - then maybe to SF for the 4th, but I'll be back Tuesday at the latest.

Not that it matters. I bet Blogger will still be a temperamental bitch when I come back. Sigh!

  1. Blogger is driving me crazy too - today it keeps booting me out and refusing my password, then after several tries it accepts it - tempermental bitchis right!

However, it does have something to do with the 'stay signed in' box - if you unclick that before you re-enter your user name and password, it seems to work. At least on my computer it does.

  2. Glad you and Dixie are spending some quality time together. Enjoy!

Over the holiday weekend I'm planning on sharing some cold ones with Val from the comfort of my lawn chair :)

  3. That's odd, Chrome is the only browser that doesn't give me fits with blogger...

    Have fun this weekend!

  4. Some of my favorite times with Lilly have been during periods of rehab. There's just something special about spending that kind of time with our horses. No expectations, just enjoying each other's company. :)

I finally have everything worked out with my blog... I'm sorry the evil blogger gremlin has taken over yours!

  5. I'm glad that you have become closer to Dixie.

As for cats, I should have sent mind to learn from yours. As it is they watch mice but don't figure out to move against them.

  6. I can post again, but there's a few blogs I still can't leave comments on.

We have 3 cats. 2 are killing machines, but the big girl thinks mice are kittens. She will watch one, carry it around like a kitten, and even lick it until one of us takes it away from her. Ewww.

  7. Agree with smazourek about Chrome. I haven't had problems when using it. If on IE, I can sometimes comment, sometimes not. The bad thing is, I don't know if it will take it until I go thru the whole rigamaroll (is that a word?) and then it says I'm not signed in and won't sign me in...

Glad you had a nice little ride. I know when Windy abscessed, I enjoyed the doctoring and stall time with her. Riding season was wrapping up, so it was another way to enjoy her...

  9. Blogger is the glitchiest site ever, worse than Facebook I think.

Jason and I are big TrueBlood fans. We just finished watching season 3. We're too cheap to pay for HBO so we shall eagerly await seaon 4 on DVD next spring.

  10. I must be behind, using Firefox & sometimes IE. Guess it depends on Googles "mood" :-)
Good news that you're back on top of your mare :-) Happy Fourth!

  11. Yup...you've got the Blogger ick..just were a flowing comment,that I must now recreate....

I'm happy you have found that rehab peaceful place with Dixie. It is bound to happen to all of us having horses...It cracked me up the way you said Did likes your chair!

I've had several rehab times that gave me chance to lay around the Wa mare, giving her visual attentions only( which she rather enjoys).
when you look at it as another experience to steward them through, instead of something you are missing out on, throwing back a cold one or taking a nap in the grass with your horse- can be PRODUCTIVE!

YOUR CAT.. now sees on a mission. Yea cold and cc for the permits, makes me happier too!

Happy, peaceful, rehab rides to you both!
